On 11 Feb 10 Steve Deem, age 35, 1060 Hocking Road, Little Hocking, reported his sixteen year old stepson phoned him at a relatives house and said he was sitting in the living room when a masked male subject attempted to break through the home’s front door. Mr. Deem’s stepson stated the suspect broke a small window on the door and fled on foot when he could not gain entry. Examining the scene, Deputy Sheriff Smeeks could not find any footprints or tire tracks in the freshly fallen snow. Nevertheless, this case remains under investigation.

On 12 Feb 10 Erica Harvey, age 25, 1750 Brackenridge Road, Vincent, reported she sustained minor injuries during an altercation with her live-in boyfriend Steven W. Rush, age 23. Arguing over their relationship, Ms. Harvey said Mr. Rush threw household cleaner in her face and that she accidentally struck her boyfriend when she attempted to shield her face. Ms. Harvey stated her boyfriend then began to choke her and punched her in the ribs and back. Thrown the floor, Ms. Harvey commented that Mr. Rush jumped on top of her and pulled her arm to the point at which she thought he would break it. Mr. Rush eventually ceased his attack and eventually left the residence. Located after Lt.
