CRACK COCAINE DEALER ARRESTED
Completing an investigation into a local seller of crack cocaine, Task Force Agents arrested Jay E. Lucas, age 36, 573 Southland Cemetery Road, Cutler, at his residence on 9 Feb 10. The arrest follows a controlled purchase of a quarter ounce of crack cocaine by an undercover operative from Lucas on 14 May 09. Mr. Lucas sold the cocaine to the operative for $550 in the presence of hi two small children. Charged with a third degree felony count of trafficking in drugs, Lucas is incarcerated in the Washington County Jail without bond pending his initial court appearance at 1 pm today.
The Major Crimes Task Force is a multi-faceted organization composed of representatives from the Marietta Police Departments; the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification and the Morgan and Washington County Prosecuting Attorney and Sheriff’s Offices.
