Marietta Memorial Hospital is rescheduling their annual Go Red For Women Heart Luncheon at the Marietta Country Club for Wednesday, Feb. 24, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The cost of the luncheon is $10, which includes lunch and valuable heart health information and resources.
According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States. More women die of cardiovascular disease than the next five causes of death combined, including cancer.
Marietta Memorial Hospital is sponsoring this heart healthy luncheon to increase awareness about the importance of caring for women’s hearts. Speakers for this year’s event include Marietta Memorial’s Dr. Joseph Mayo, M.D., Ph.D., interventional cardiologist, as well as Dr. Shane Parmer, M.D., vascular surgeon.
