On 5 Feb 10 Lt. Stackpole requested a summons for an eleven year old Lowell resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The girl’s babysitter reported she was unable to control the juvenile and that the child would not stop yelling, screaming and kicking after being told she could not visit her grandmother’s residence. Interviewed later in the evening, the girl’s mother said tonight’s outburst was the third occasion that required a law enforcement to respond to assist her.

On 5 Feb 10 Jamie Cunningham, age 28, 117 Morningside Drive, Marietta, reported she awoke that morning she discovered the passenger side window of her Toyota SUV was shattered and the windshield was badly damaged. Ms. Cunningham was unsure but stated she believes the only items stolen from inside the vehicle were two one dollar bills and six CDs. This case remains under investigation (809).

On 5 Feb 10 Deputy Sheriff Reeder issued a citation to Tamara Glover, age 41, 19041 State Route 26, Reno, for disorderly conduct. Upset that her live-in boyfriend would not buy her cigarettes, Ms. Glover went on a rampage, slamming doors, swearing and breaking the knobs off kitchen cabinets. Ms. Glover continued screaming when Sgt. Norman and Deputy Reeder arrived despite their repeated requests that she cease engaging in a disruptive manner.

On 5 Feb 10 Deputy Sheriff Holbert and the Devola Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle at the residence of Emily Beatty, age 29, 1490 State Route 821, Marietta. Ms. Beatty stated she was in her home when a passerby honked their horn and notified her that her van was on fire. Extinguished without incident or injury, the blaze caused damage to the vinyl siding of Ms. Beatty’s garage and totaled the vehicle.

On 5 Feb 10 a Fairfield Township trustee reported locating an illegal dumpsite on Walsh Road near the intersection of Darnold Road. Deputy Sheriff Smeeks interviewed an individual to whom some of the mail was addressed and she stated her former live-in boyfriend may have disposed of the trash when he moved. The township trustee declined to pursue charges after the individual volunteered to clean up the trash.

On 6 Feb 10 William McAtee, age 51, 109 Belaire Drive, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect(s) obtained his credit card information and used it to purchase over $600 worth of goods from Wal-Mart in Heath, OH. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 7 Feb 10 Robert Matheny Jr., age 30, 405 Couglar Street, New Matamoras, reported sometime between 5 Feb and 7 Feb an unknown suspect(s) broke a window on a Chevy S-10 parked on his property and removed a recently installed Kenwood CD player. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 7 Feb 10 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Sheldon D. Hill, age 27, 9150 State Route 550, Vincent, for failing to reinstate his operator’s license. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Hill on State Route 550 in Barlow Township.

On 8 Feb 10 a forty-one year old Marietta resident reported an acquaintance has been harassing her and her family over the phone periodically for the past two years and the suspect recently made a threatening call. This case remains under investigation (208).

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday 5 Feb 10 and Monday 8 Feb 10:

Ryan O’Neil Nichols, age 33, 341 Tadpole Run Road, Belpre, for illegally manufacturing drugs, possession of drugs and for illegally assembling drug making chemicals, all felonies. Nichols was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Feb 10 at 10:30 am.

Walter Richard McBride, age 20, 771 Buckeye Avenue, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. McBride was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Feb 10 at 7:30 pm.

Michael Johnson, age 53, 728 Second Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Johnson was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Feb 10 at 9:00 pm.

Christopher Adam Lent, age 23, 3835 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony. Lent was arrested by Patrolman Chapman at the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at 3:10 am.

Michael Shawn Williams, age 33, 3995 Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, for failure to appear, a felony. Williams was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at 4:33 am.

Maurice Agusta Banks Jr., age 35, 910 Cooper Street, Bluefield, WV, for possession of drugs, a felony. Banks was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at 8:32 am.

Barbara Lou Wilder, age 64, 205 Sixth Street, Beverly, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Wilder was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Offenberger of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at 4:24 pm.

Kyle Andrew Morris, age 28, 103 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for two felony counts of possession of drugs. Morris was arrested on Interstate 77 by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at 5:46 pm.

Cassandra Renee Blackburn, age 18, 3613 State Route 60 NE, McConnelsville, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Blackburn was arrested at 508 Elk Run Road by Sgt. Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at 11:19 pm.

John Cody Shockley, age 19, 4585 Chase Hill Road, Stockport, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Shockley was arrested at 508 Elk Run Road by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at 11:26 pm.

Brian Matthew Grommeck, age 19, 2095 Beech Hilaman Road, Stockport, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Grommeck was arrested at 508 Elk Run Road by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at 11:36 pm.

Daniel Timothy Reese III, age 51, 12590 State Route 550, Fleming, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Reese was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Feb 10 at 9:55 pm.

There are currently eighty-nine men and sixteen women being housed in the Washington County Jail.
