January 21, 2010

Have an idea or invention but not sure what to do next or where to go to get information? “Fast Pitch” is an opportunity for inventors, entrepreneurs, and anyone with an idea for a new business or technology to come before a panel of experts and receive a quick analysis of what to do next.

Sign up for a “Fast Pitch” session at “Re-Inventing Small Business in Appalachia”, the largest assembly of business resources in the region. This invaluable event is part of a month-long series of seminars focusing on business growth in southeast Ohio hosted by TechGROWTH Ohio, featuring Congressman Charlie Wilson as the keynote address.

Here’s your chance to ask questions while the panel of experts provides feedback and resources – find out if your business idea or invention has “legs” – how to take your concept to market – what your idea is worth – what’s involved in the commercialization process – where to begin.

Whether your idea is formal or from the back-of-a-napkin, participants are encouraged to sign up for an individual 15 minute consulting session. After your session, you will have additional opportunities to connect with a field of experts and business owners who have been through the process.

“Re-Inventing Small Business in Appalachia” brings together resources from state and local organizations designed to foster technology and innovation. Participants are encouraged to discover the realm of possibilities Appalachia offers new and existing businesses through interactive discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities with exhibitors.

The” Re-Inventing Small Business in Appalachia” series will be offered free of charge in three communities in Southeastern Appalachia. Lunch will be provided. Registration is highly recommended online at www.techgrowthohio.com or by calling (740) 593-9588.
